    Literally “on memory.” This phrase is used when you have internalized information so thoroughly that you no longer need to look at a book, map, or notes. It is most commonly used with the verbs ‘uczyć się’ (to learn) and ‘znać’ (to know).

    'Na pamięć' uses the accusative singular. Note that 'pamięć' is a feminine noun ending in a consonant.
